Are you somewhat new to eBay business? Or just planning to enter the world of the eBay profession and evaluate its waters? You’ve not anything to dread. Here are simple startup tips for you, newbie.

Entering the eBay vocation means that you are opening up shop on eBay and becoming a merchant. It is easy and risk-free. All you are required to own is a computer, an internet connection and an inventory of items to vend. No startup costs are expected of you. Even if you’re at your house, you can monitor your eBay profession easily enough. You can also do business online, right within eBay.

Starting out As a newbie merchant, you possess a somewhat adequate chance of succeeding in your eBay occupation by starting out with items that you understand and have experience with. Take it from the experts, when you begin by marketing in what you are knowledgeable about, you are right on target regarding its value. However, if the items you are supposed to start with do not fall in the line of your knowledge, there’s no reason for worry. You only have to a little research about the items you possess to understand their value. There could be some odds and ends in your house that are sufficiently in good shape but not needed anymore. Or you might know of relatives and friends who have assets they want to get rid of. You can also buy discounted goods, seasonal and unusual items and crafts then resell them. The eBay profession has no limit on what market you could sell, as long as there are buyers attracted to what you have.

Have a photo, make a sale

Once you have set-up shop in the eBay area, start the ball rolling by letting clients know of your stock. Do this by taking pictures of the goods you are putting up for sale. The photo alongside your item listing is free. A 35-cent paid photo post of your item is offered by eBay – it’s called Gallery. It works by having a concise photo of your product along with its listing on the search results. Understand that most customers in the eBay profession favor to see the photo of the item for sale. Most often, your listing will get hits largely because of photo attachments. People require to know they are buying something that exists. You may encounter that once you upload additional photos for each of your product listing, the demand for your products increases. Close-up and high-quality photos of your products are likely to bring you enormous sales outcome.

Price ‘em good

Besides seeing your product, the next thing budding buyers on the eBay business look up is the cost. Note that in the eBay business, it is necessary to remind you not to price your article too elevated, or else buyers may lose interest. With a reasonable starting price, you only require to have two bidders to set off a higher price.

The principle in the eBay PowerSeller, with regards to setting up the starting price, is that the lower you set the price, the more likely buyers bid on it. You can even get them so connected to the item and inspire a need to be the bidder who gets the item.

For how long do you list up your product?

As a seller, listing a product in the eBay business involves meeting qualifications to use one-day period listing and paying necessary fees for 10-day listings. There are a few factors to know how long you should list an item in the eBay business: – Longer period listing gives potential buyers additional time to see your item and place bids – Listing relaying on your traffic volume. – Restricted period of listing if you are selling products related to certain events Additional things which sellers in the eBay business need to do to generate more profits:

- Regularly checking out the hit list for your items to know if you are obtaining more traffic. Additional traffic means more buyers. – Have a detailed product description on your listing to minimize numerous buyer inquiries – Proper directing of payment and shipping. Be aware that 3 out of 4 buyers on the eBay business prefer paying with PayPal. – Keep your buyers, delighted and satisfied with your products and overall service. – Lastly, keep tabs on other eBay sellers’ experiences in the eBay business for you to understand and succeed.

Thank you, Ralph and Liz Henderson

This article will probably make some Power Sellers uneasy but will also make quite a few people very happy. I am going to reveal two out of the 4 suppliers that I currently use because I have started another venture which occupies most of my time. I have found that a true Dropshipper makes the best supplier most of the time. What I mean by a true Dropshipper is a supplier who will ship direct to your customer on behalf of your name. Some Dropshippers may require you to fill out a short form to authorize them to ship to different addresses other than your own. This is just a security measure to protct you.

There are many kinds of Dropshippers. Some specialize in certain products while others sell several hundred different items. I like to use a Dropshipper with a good variety of products and competitive prices. Once you think you have found a good Dropshipper, do a thorough search of the site. Find a few products that you are interested in and then search a few auction sites to see what they are selling for.

Ask the dropshipper how quickly they will be able to fulfill and ship the order. Be sure to inquire about whether or not a tracking number will be available. The tracking number will be very important because, if an item doesn’t arrive, you will need to have some means to track the purchase and to make sure that it was shipped. If a customer doesn’t receive a product, they will look to you for answers. Also Be cautious of a dropshipper who requires that you pay a fee to access their product line. A legitimate dropshipper should not charge to set up an account.

Here is what you have been waiting for. The first site I am going to reveal is Best Wholesale Electronics http://www.bestwholesaleelectronics.com
This site has not been around very long but I have been very pleased so far. They have over 30,000 products that you can pick and choose from. Not all of their products are profit makers, but doing a good search of the site you will find several that will give you a good profit. Ordering went very smooth and easy while the shipping was fast, normally within 24-48 hours.

The next site is called Software Outlet http://www.softwareoutlet.com. I don’t know a whole lot about this company but I have used them several times. Prices are about the cheapest as far as wholesale software goes. Ordering and shipping was smooth and fast with no proplems.

I hope these two suppliers will help you on your way to being a successful Ebay seller. Just remember to have fun and do lots of research before starting an auction.

Ebay is the ‘BEST’ opportunity you can use right now to make money online in the dropshipping business from the comfort of your own home.

Thousands of people just like you use eBay auctions on a daily basis to sell and buy products on the Internet; now it’s your time to START your own dropshipping home-based business and succeed in the eBay auctions ‘game’!

There are no special skills required for this dropshipping business, all you need is a computer, Internet access and some basic computer / Internet knowledge.

Dropshipping is when you sell products on the Web, forward the orders to the dropship supplier and, in return, the dropshipper ships the product to your customer (buyer).

You act as the middleman between the dropshipping supplier and your buyer. You can take orders by credit card, fax or any other method you can think of. You can sell via your own Web Site or even through e-mail.

Your profit is generated on the difference between your selling price and the price the dropshipping supplier charges you.

Thanks to dropshipping you can start making money ‘instantly’ without any investment in inventory, warehousing, shipping, equipment, employees or office space.

How do I find something to sell on eBay?

Of course, finding something to sell isn’t hard. Finding something at a “Low enough price” to make a profit on eBay is much more difficult. That’s because eBay is a price-driven model and buyers expect a bargain. If they don’t get one, they’re not buying.

So, the REAL question is:

How do I find something at a ‘low enough price to sell profitably’ on eBay?

Answer: THE LIGHT BULK WHOLESALE DIRECTORY

1. WWB has an entire research section in their Florida office that ‘personally interviews’ each and every wholesaler and dropshipper. Without an interview, no one gets into their directory. No one.

2. They have ‘Very Exacting Criteria’ for being listed. If the source doesn’t meet those criteria, they aren’t listed. For example, they must be ‘genuine wholesalers’ and they must be willing to Sell to eBayers in Low minimum quantities.

Most wholesalers want to sell to big retailers with huge budgets, so finding dealers willing to work with the little guys that’s us isn’t so easy. And, as you probably know, way too many so-called wholesalers are only ‘middlemen’.

That won’t happen with the new Light Bulk Directory.

Having products drop shipped by suppliers, allows you to concentrate on truly important aspects like advertising, sales and promotion.

Pay attention! There are lots of companies claiming to be ‘Drop Shippers’. However, a legitimate drop shipper is a factory-authorized wholesale distributor, or sometimes the actual manufacturer of the product. A legitimate drop shipper should not charge you an ‘account setup fee’ or ask you to place a ‘minimum quantity order’.

Make sure you find some legitimate drop shippers who have the product(s) you want to sell, talk with them on the phone / by e-mail and let them know that you are truly serious about doing business with them.

Customer support counts in the dropshipping business, so don’t hesitate to contact some dropshipping suppliers before you want to work with them.

This will help you decide if you really want to do business with a particular drop shipper or not.

To succeed in the dropshipping business you’ll have to LOOK for hard-to-find products that people desperately need and want to purchase.

The key is to sell products with little or no competition.

I suggest you RESEARCH for quality products & legitimate dropship suppliers, MONITOR the eBay auction listings to see if there’s any competition and TEST the market (e.g. find out if people really want to spend CASH on the product you want to sell)

Remember! Dropshipping makes it EASY for you to start and run your own home-based businesses on a shoestring budget; and eBay is the ‘perfect’ MEDIUM to expose your product to potential buyers all over the globe!

Selling on Ebay can be a good hobby or a nice profitable business for others. I like to sell on Ebay and other auction sites for both of these reasons. Below I will list some of the things that have helped me out enormously through trial and error.

1. Determine if the product that you are going to auction is a one time sale or if you have a continuous supply of this item. This means that if it is a one time item that you are going to want to get the best price for it. The best way I found to do this is to put a reserve price on the item close to what you need to get out of it. I know that alot of people say that a reserve price will hinder the chances of selling an item, but it won’t if you try not to be greedy. If you have a continuous supply of a product, taking a $15-$20 profit is the way to go on something like a $200 Digital camera because you will have many more sales.

2. If you want a steady income on Ebay you need to find suppliers. The best way to do this is to determine what type of product you want to sell, and then start researching what that item is selling for on auction sites. Once you find a supplier that carries your product and you determine that you can profit at least 10% after your listing fees and Paypal fees if any, you are then ready to climb aboard the Ebay bandwagon.

3. The next thing you will want to do once you find the right supplier is to buy a few items to sell. This way you are going to test the suppliers quickness in getting the items to you. Also it is good if the supplier will dropship to your customers. The reason for this is sometimes you may get a item that is broke or scratched and you don’t realize it until it is time to ship to your customer. A dropshipper can send this item to your customer just like it came from you.

I hope these few little tips will help you get started in a hobby on Ebay or maybe a lucrative business.

With all the shopping malls online today, it’s easy to find huge sales and brand name products. Any man, women or child can simply go to a search engine and type for what ever he or she desires.
Weather its men and women’s apparel, designer clothes, health and beauty products or household products and appliances, somewhere, it’s out there in a virtual mall today.
The most valuable possession that men and woman have is TIME. By using some of the shopping tips mentioned below, you’ll be able to save time and take further benefit of the new American pastime: saving with the online shopping malls!

* Buying On Ebay.
We all know online auctions seem like such a great deal and they can be. However; it’s easy to get caught up in the moment and want to start bidding away at the product of your choice that is on sale and ends the soonest. ” That’s the biggest mistake you can make when shopping at an online auction!”
With a little research you’ll find that most of the products offered on the online auctions have a link on the product page to the sellers online mall. After the final bidding is done more often than not you’ll end up paying more for the product because of the mark up in the shipping and handling charges or because the item isn’t that great of a deal to start with.
I recommend that you take a few moments and browse the sellers store and compare their online mall shipping charges vs. the charges they’re requiring at the auction. Also, compare their prices with some of the other shopping malls. Chances are there’s a better deal out there.

* Don’t Get The Instant Gratification Syndrome.
Let’s face it. Buying something always gives you a good feeling and you can’t wait to receive that new purchase. Anything you’re buying at your local mall can usually be found for a huge discount at an online mall.
You just have to be willing to wait for the short 2-5 days that it takes for shipping. It’s definitely worth the savings if you control your emotions and wait until it arrives via UPS!

* Watch Out For Excessive Shipping Charges.
Many times retailers cut their costs to get the sale but then charge more for shipping and handling. Make sure to check the final cost to ensure you didn’t receive any unwarranted charges.
You can also find free shipping deals at many of the online shopping sites. “Buyers Beware” Sometimes the shipping can cost more than your purchase!

* Deals and Coupons.
If You find a product you want to buy, maybe the latest in designer apparel or an in-thing such as the I pod. Should you really pay the price that the retail store is offering?
No! “Don’t pay retail”.
You can find many deals and coupons for the same purchase just by typing, product + coupons into a search engine. Spend a little time searching through the top results, you’re sure to find the same product for a significant discount.
Just be sure to check for a coupon code before making any Internet purchase. It’s a simple way to find extra savings.
Sometimes, by filling out a survey or signing up for a newsletter or email list, you can get additional savings and many times you will get your product for free!

Internet searches are extremely effective in finding not only how popular your topic is, but how to set up your autoresponder for maximum results.

A vast majority of internet users find what they’re looking for by searching, whether they use a general web search engine like Google or a site-specific engine to wade through consumer mega-sites like e-Bay and Amazon.

A quick search on your topic will reveal how many people are interested, and what convinces them to check products out.

Google

Without a doubt, Google is the most popular internet search engine–so much so, its name has become a synonym for the act of running a web search (i.e., “I couldn’t find that site that posts the winning lottery numbers, so I just Googled it.”)

Many internet marketers make increasing their site ranking–the “place in line” the site appears in Google results using their keywords–one of the key components of their advertising campaigns.

Obtaining a top 10 Google rank (appearing on the first page of search results) is akin to winning an Olympic gold medal in the marketing world.

How can this help you with your market research? By studying the top search results for pages you find through keywords relating to your topic, you can find out what these sites are doing to achieve search engine success.

The following steps will help you run an effective and informative Google search.

1. List keywords and keyword phrases relating to your topic. For example, if your topic is “working from home”, your list of keywords might be: work from home, working from home, work at home, telecommute, telecommuting, at home jobs.

2. Go to the Google home page and type in your first keyword or phrase, then click on “Google Search”.

NOTE: If you are not familiar with Google, clicking on “I’m Feeling Lucky” will not produce a list of web sites; it will take you directly to what Google has determined the most relevant site for your keyword. But if you’re in the mood for a laugh, you might try “I’m Feeling Lucky” just for kicks.

When you receive the search results, check out the pages that are relevant to your topic (search engines are by no means exact, and sometimes you will find results that don’t relate to your topic–or at least, not in the way you had in mind). The best way to do this is to right-click on the links you want to visit and choose “Open in new window.” This will keep the Google search results page open so you don’t have to backtrack through your browser to find it again.

3. Note the way the sites are laid out (is it appealing and easy to read, or does it make your eyes bleed?), what kind of text is on the front page (does it seem informative, or is it all hype? Are there a lot of spelling and grammar errors?), and whether there is an obvious available product. If there is a site counter, note how many visitors the site has received.

4. Repeat this process with the rest of your keywords. You will often find the same sites showing up in the top 10 for different, related searches. Pay special attention to these; they are the ones you may want to emulate when you create the web site for your autoresponder.

NOTE: If you run a Google search on your topic and find only two or three related web sites before the results turn up unrelated material, it may indicate there is a limited market for your topic. In this case you should either rewrite your keywords and try again, or consider choosing a different topic altogether.

eBay

It’s said you can buy anything on eBay, from cars and computers to clothing formerly worn by celebrities.

This massive online consumer marketplace and auction house is a haven for buyers and sellers looking for great deals from the comfort of their own homes.

Searching for products related to your topic on eBay can help you home in on your market. It will also help you determine how much buyers are willing to pay for products related to your subject.

Follow these steps to exploit eBay for information:

1. Sign up for a free eBay account. This personalizes your experience and allows eBay to provide you with relevant information every time you visit.

2. Go to the eBay home page and log in.

3. Choose one of the categories on the left-hand side of the page that’s relevant to you topic and browse through the listings, or search for a specific item or topic using the search bar at the top of the page.

4. Make note of the price ranges people are willing to pay for items or products related to your topic. This will give you a general idea of what to charge for yours. Also, note how many products are available related to your topic in comparison to other topics. This is not limited to books: you might find CDs, audio programs, or one of many forms your product can take.

Amazon

Amazon.com, the “other” internet consumer giant, is similar to e-Bay in that you can find just about anything you want to buy. Amazon’s biggest selection is in media: books, movies and music; but they also have an enormous inventory of electronics, toys, jewelry, clothing and accessories, and much more. Where e-Bay concentrates on selling used products through auctions and classifieds-style advertising, Amazon carries new products along with a healthy dose of independent sellers touting used wares.

Your purpose in using Amazon for market research is twofold: you will identify your competition and find out how popular your topic is, and you will familiarize yourself with how Amazon works, as you will likely want to consider making your product available through Amazon.

Here’s how to check it out:

1. Sign up for an Amazon account, if you don’t already have one. Like eBay, Amazon will give you personalized recommendations based on your searching and buying history, and keep you updated with the latest available information on your topic.

2. Once you’ve signed up, go to the Amazon home page and log in (you may be automatically logged in; Amazon really likes keeping track of its customers and often will keep you perpetually signed on, even when you leave the site…)

3. Using the search bar at the top of the page, choose “Books” from the dropdown list and type in your topic or keywords. The results you get will be both print books and e-books. Since Amazon deals primarily in new product, you will be able to view the retail price of competitive products.

4. Make note of prices and the number of titles available relating to your topic. Also, you might want to consider checking out the Listmania sections on the product pages you view (you can find this by scrolling down on the page, almost to the bottom). Listmania is an Amazon program that promotes customer recommendations by allowing Amazon users to compile lists of their favorite books on Amazon. Checking out Listmania picks helps you understand what type of product your target market is interested in, and how much they are willing to pay for it.

5. Once you find a product, if you scroll down past Listmania you will find sections on “similar items by category” and “similar items by subject.” You can browse through the available products related to your topic in this way without going back to your search results page.

Q: I would like to start an online dropshipping business, but I have no idea how to get started. I would like to specialize in giftware and accessories. Where do I find products and how do I get set up a website without any technical knowledge?

A: In the good old days of the Internet, i.e. last year, it took a considerable amount of effort to launch an ecommerce website, especially one that offered dropship merchandise.

The to-do list for building even a small site was extensive.

You first had to find a company who would dropship merchandise for you. Believe it or not, there was not a dropshipper on every corner of the Web back then.

Once you found such a company, you had to set up a formal business account with them, which often meant filling out forms, jumping through hoops, providing them with proof of a business license, a tax ID number, a pint of blood, the promise of your first born, and on and on.

Then the real fun began.

You had to tear apart the company’s print catalogs and scan in the pictures of merchandise you wanted to sell on the site.

You had to build the website by hand with an HTML editor, and type in all the product descriptions and prices, which made updating the site a manual nightmare. Changing $1.95 to $2.95 could literally take half an hour.

You had to find a dependable hosting company to host the site. This was harder than you might think. Finding a dependable hosting company in the golden age of the Internet was like finding a painless dentist in the old west. They just didn’t exist. You had to opt for the hosting company that you hoped would cause you the least amount of pain. And you were always wrong.

You had to register a domain name. This part was fairly simple, IF you had the genius IQ required to think up a coherent domain name that was not already taken by another business or a &^%$# cyber-squatter (low level life forms who register domain names and ransom them to individuals and companies that could really use them).

And when you finally think you have thought of everything there is to think of, that you have done everything that needs to be done, you launch the site amid little fanfare and much prayer.

Then it suddenly occurs to you (always in the middle of the night) that the only thing you forgot to build in to your new site is a way for your customers to pay for their purchase online with a credit card (there was no Pay Pal in the dark ages, my child…).

You awake in a cold sweat and finally understand why you haven’t sold a single Beanie Baby since your site was launched.

Ah, the good old days… Thank God they are gone.

Lucky for you and me, Beth, there are now a number of companies on the Web that can help folks like us set up a turnkey dropship website without ever breaking a sweat.

By turnkey, I mean they will provide you with a complete, payment- enabled website and the merchandise to sell on the site. All you do is turn the key (so to speak) to start your new business.

You select the design of the site, the products you want to sell, and they do the rest. They can show you how to setup an online payment system, help you register a domain name, offer technical support, and more.

It is up to you to market the site and drive customers to it, but in some cases the companies will even help you do that with free search engine submissions and marketing tips.

You can also sell the merchandise at online auctions like eBay and Yahoo! Auctions. There is no quicker way to get your dropship business up and running in a matter of days.

If you are interested in selling on eBay, you might wonder where you can get items to sell. I’m talking about after you’ve exhausted the logical first places, such as items in your garage or loft or spare bedroom!

One of the drawbacks for anyone wishing to expand an interest in auctions into a business – be it part or full time – is the need to have stock to sell. Here are some of the issues you face:

Locating suppliers of stock at affordable prices Somewhere to store your stock The means and space to wrap the items The time to take them to a Post Office

One of the ways around all of these problems is to use dropshipping. There are many people in the USA making extra cash, and in some cases making a living, by selling items on auctions on a dropship basis.

Dropshipping has arrived in the UK, and you may want to consider it further. You might be asking, “What on earth is dropshipping?”

Dropshipping is a system of trading offered by certain suppliers. These suppliers have stocks of goods, normally products which will sell well on auctions, and which they are willing to package and forward to your customers DIRECTLY.

This is how it works. Let’s imagine you are a seller on eBay. You join a dropship company. You then get access to the company’s online catalogue, which will usually have hundreds of items at discounted prices. It will also explain to you how much they charge you for P&P to your customer.

You select an item, create an auction listing and list it. The auction finishes, and your winner pays you.

All you now do is send the winner’s name and address, and the payment, to the dropship company. The payment is the cost price, plus the agreed shipping cost. The dropship company then package and send out the goods to your winner. Your profit is the difference between the discounted catalogue price you pay, and the winning bid.

The system has some great plus points – you’ve made zero outlay up-front for stock, and you are alleviated of all stock storage, packaging and mailing problems. And you have a ready made supply of new and different product lines.

On the flip side, you need to be careful you can make enough margin – don’t forget you pay any auction fees incurred. And if you accept PayPal or any other online credit card payment system, you will have to pay their percentage too.

With the right product, at the right price, dropshipping might be a useful addition to any eBay seller’s armoury.

Sourcing your products from the China wholesale markets means margins you can’t find elsewhere, margins which will skyrocket your profits and allow you to dominate your market.

China has been described as the world’s factory.

It might well be re-named China Wholesale Inc.

The phenomenal economic growth in China, typified by the rise of Shanghai – now the world’s biggest city, in the world’s biggest country – will have an ever-increasing effect on world trade, and on the world of re-selling on the Internet.

China manufactures for the world, and anyone looking to source products just has to start their search in the China wholesale markets. And that means me, and probably you as well.

Many US re-sellers are still convinced that the way to a quick fortune is to go to China, find the guy who makes shoes for Gucci or handbags for Prada, and persuade him to run off an extra few hundred.

A less-reputable China wholesale manufacturer might do this, but the product will not bear the coveted label. You might manage to import the goods into the US, but no way can you sell them – legally – as brand-name products, even if they are made by the same manufacturer as the genuine product.

Beware the so-called “grey market”. The Brand name companies are becoming ever-more aggressive in pursuing through the courts anyone infringing their copyright.

In most manufacturing sectors, China is a volume producer, which means that you will always be facing high minimum order quantities, typically thousands of units, which make it seem a no-go area for the solitary trader of modest means. But there is a solution to this problem, as you will see later.

China already has a good reputation for quality clothing, shoes, and basic commodities, but increasingly China wholesalers are turning to high-technology products.

The good news is that the China wholesale manufacturers and the agents are very clued-up on the US market, and very quick to respond to requests for sample products and price and delivery quotations. The really good news is that there is usually an unbelievably margin, so if you have the bankroll and the expertise you could really make a lot of money at this.

So what about a plan of action?

If the China wholesale market excites you, you really can’t do without the services of a local China-based agent.

He is the guy who has personal contact with all the manufacturers and factory owners. He knows the China wholesale world intimately – he knows the best sources for all the products. He acts as the middleman and effectively as the purse-holder, and you will need such an expert to guide you through the minefield that is the Chinese-US tax issue.

He will ensure that the product gets shipped on time, and most importantly can check on the quality of the product before it is shipped.

These Chinese export agents are monitored and encouraged financially by their Government to promote China wholesale business overseas, so you should be able to find a reputable one without any problem.

The bottom line is – if you’re serious about sourcing goods from China in volume, then you really can’t do the business without a good China-based agent. You just have to invest the time to go over to China, ideally when one of the big trade fairs or conventions are taking place. (You can easily find this information on your favorite Search Engine).

Here you can meet with the agents, who can introduce you to the factory owners, who will invite you to the factory to see the product being made, and will probably give you an on-the-spot quotation.

You will find, as I did, that much business in China is still conducted on a personal-relationship basis, so if you don’t make the personal contacts and establish and cultivate relationships in the China wholesale world, then you probably won’t thrive in China.

If you simply haven’t got the time or resources to establish personal contacts in China, then you could look for a good US based Chinese agent or broker – ideally one based in your own city or State.(Again, you can find one using the Search Engines). You may be lucky and find one who has good contacts in China, and he can guide you through much of the bureaucracy involved in importing from a China wholesaler.

Find out who he has represented before, and be sure to contact this person or business to check out your agent or broker.

There is an excellent resource on the internet with a lot of expertise in sourcing China wholesale products. This is the website at www.alibaba.com, which offers excellent advice, and can immediately supply details of Chinese manufacturers for your chosen product.

So there are 3 levels at which you can get involved with the China wholesale markets – the 3 paths to enlightenment and profit as we might call them.

At the bottom level,if you just want to get a feel for what is available, then spend some time on research at www.Alibaba.com – a great resource which can show you the incredible range of products available, and which can put you in contact with agents or manufacturers in the China wholesale business.

At a slightly more ambitious level, if you are committed to doing business long-term, then you could look for a reliable US-based Chinese agent or broker, who for a fee or commission will ease your way into the often-baffling world of importing goods from China.

And the serious marketers will jump in at the top level, and get themselves over to China, the sooner the better, in order to establish those long-term relationships with those active in the China wholesale world.

Relationships which will reap rich rewards for years to come.

If you aren’t big enough or confident enough to face this on your own, then find a few other re-sellers in the same market – or related market – as yourself, and pool your time and resources. Whatever it takes, get into this lucrative market place – the potential profits are HUGE !

China and its manufacturers will have an enormous impact on the Internet re-selling world over the next 5 years.

It is already starting to happen, and the time to get involved is now.

The guy who sources the product at the lowest price is the guy who wins, particularly on the Internet.

And that lowest price will almost certainly be provided by a Chinese manufacturer.

If you’re still not persuaded to check out the fabulous opportunities in the China wholesale markets, then you should certainly have a look at the best resource on the internet for sourcing products for reselling – just go to Sourcing

If your business is not using eBay and other Internet auctions, you could be missing out. Here are just a few ways of generating additional income, profits and cashflow from online auctions.

1. Convert Excess Assets to Cash

Sell personal or business items that you no longer use. For example, are there slow moving inventory items in your store? A major camera store chain sells their slow movers, quite successfully, through eBay.

2. Buy and Sell Anything

Sometimes people put things out in the garbage because they don`t need them anymore and don`t know anyone who could use them. You can successfully sell some of these items by Internet auction.

As well, if you pick up bargains from garage sales, flea markets, importers, wholesalers, closeout dealers or other sources, these items can also be sold through online auctions.

3. Drop Shipping

There are suppliers who will ship one item at a time for you. You don`t have to stock any inventory. You simply pay your dropship supplier out of the money you receive from your auction sale. They will ship the product directly to your customer.

4. Self-Publishing

Do you have expertise in a specialized area of interest to people? Then, you could publish your own information product.

A very popular format for self-publishing information products is the electronic book (or e-book). E-book compilers, some of which are free, are readily available on the Internet. When people buy your e-book, they can download it from your website or receive it by e-mail.

You could sell such self-published information products on eBay and other Internet auction sites. Incidentally, online auctions are an inexpensive method of testing the market for your information (or other) products.

5. Reprint and Resale Rights

You may not want to produce your own information products presently. Or, perhaps, you may already have an information product, but would like to supplement your income with additional, related product offerings. This is where reprint and resale rights come in.

You can buy the rights to reprint or resell excellent information products created by other people. Some of these rights are inexpensive.

In addition to selling these products from your own website, you can use Internet auctions to create extra sales. Another advantage of online auctions is that they can create additional traffic for your website.

6. Sell Your Services

Do you design logos or websites? Do you sell consulting or other services? These, also, can be successfully sold through eBay and other auction sites.

7. Run an eBay Consignment Shop

There are still people who don`t have a computer or who don`t use eBay. You could sell on a consignment basis for them, taking a commission on the successful sale. You would need to charge for advertising expenses incurred, such as eBay listing and selling fees.

8. Promote Affiliate Programs through Auctions

Some affiliate programs have brandable e-books that contain your affiliate link. When people order from the e-book that they bought from your online auction, you get credit for the sale. As well, some of those purchasers may sign up as affiliates, earning you additional commissions.

Some of these e-books have valuable information that is worth the nominal value you would sell it for on eBay. In other cases, such an e-book is readily available for free. In this latter case, you might consider selling another related product and offer the e-book as a free bonus.

9. Supply Fellow Online Auctioneers

During the gold rush days, it is said that those who sold picks and shovels were more likely to make money than those panning for gold. Similarly, since there is such a big market for online auctions, you can make money supplying eBayers with information and auction tools to help them start and grow their own online auction business.

10. Internet Auction Consulting

As you gain experience and expertise in online auctions, you might consider charging for your knowledge.

Consulting services, seminars, information products and other ways of packaging your knowledge can earn you additional income streams.

These are just a few of the ways you can profit from Internet auctions.
